Holding together - ten modern architectures is an ongoing project about the Greek hotels chain called "Xenìa". The Xenìas were built in the '60s by the state with the support of the Marshall Plan in order to increase the tourism industry. A team of Greek professionals, guided by the modernist architect Aris Konstantinidis, designed those buildings creating a new style that had to be local and modern at the same time. The most of them are now abandoned even if they have been declared as national monuments. The project is made of photographs and videos that, considering the stereotyped image of Greece as a place rich in ancient monuments and beautiful landscapes, try to renew this point of view talking about an unknown modern Greece.
